But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou [art] mine. (Isaiah 43:1)

We are so precious to the Lord that He calls us His children. It is amazing to know that the Lord calls each one of us by name!

I have set the LORD always before me: because [he is] at my right hand, I shall not be moved. (Psalm 16:8)

Strong is our Lord and powerful the force of His mighty arm! You shall never need fear any power of earth or heaven for naught can shake you from His unbreakable grasp. His hands of power and might are hands of safety and protection for His own-and hands of wrath and destruction for His enemies. Rejoice, O believer, that you are His child!

And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers: If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, [and] if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. (Deuteronomy 30:9-10)

As we devote our lives to serve God, He blesses the fruit of our labours with great delight and pleasure. Just as He rejoices to bless us, so also Christians should desire to serve Him. This unfathomable pleasure in serving is solely founded on the Word of God and living in accordance to it. When we follow His commands with all our heart, soul, and mind, God prospers our way over an abundance.

How excellent [is] thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. (Psalm 36:7)

In the midst of the most desolate wilderness or most perilous storm, every child of Abraham may rejoice that the Lord offers Himself as the surest of shelters. Circumstance, no matter how treacherous, is of no great concern for the believer for he has an eternal and unshakable refuge, lacking of no good thing. By the blood of Christ, all the believer's sins are washed away and he need tremble no more at the wrath of the Almighty due him for the fall.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

God, through His love and grace, promises to forgive us every time we confess our sins to Him!

And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (Mark 13:13)

Even as we take on the identity of the One Whom we love, so will the world come to despise us even as it despised Him. He entered the world to save it, but was mocked, scorned, and afflicted. We ought to expect no less vile action from the world and its wicked corruption. Yet for Him Who overcomes and perseveres in the strength of His God-granted faith: life, eternal and abundant. Rejoice therefore in your suffering as it works for you a far more exceeding weight of glory!

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory? (1 Corinthians 15:54-55)
When we get to heaven, we will have an incorruptible and immortal body. Death will be conquered!

My Prayer: O Lord, You sacrificed so much that I might live! Thank you for conquering death and allowing me to live with You forever.

Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. (James 1:12)

Find your strength in the Gospel promise. Overcome the slings and arrows of the enemy's wrought! Overcome them by the beautiful power of Christ. Trust your salvation to the sovereign hand of God. Persevere, O brothers and sisters, and you shall be welcomed with great fortune of riches! The crown of life shall be granted you and you shall glorify the Lamb! Love God for He first loved you!

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (Psalm 23:3-4)

The Lord leads us in the paths of righteousness and sometimes those paths lead through the valley of the shadow of death. Though it is hard to walk through these valleys, we can praise Him because He leads us into the valley of the shadow of death and not the valley of death itself. Take heart that even in these tremulous times, the Lord's hand is mighty. And truly, we need fear no evil!

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of [his] resurrection: (Romans 6:5)

By the power of the resurrection of Christ, we are freed from the horrible bondage of sin. Incredible! We are united with the Creator of both heaven and earth and transformed into His likeness of righteousness. Our sin was crucified with Christ Jesus and we now hold the remarkable privilege of being called His children. May our loving Father be glorified for His indescribable kindness and faithfulness.

So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. (Hebrews 13:6)

Our Lord is mighty beyond imagining. His power and strength are above measure. None may stand against the weight of His arm. And He will protect us, His people, to everlasting. Having been made His children, we who believe live under His defence as long as there exist enemies to His throne. Rejoice in the fact of your salvation, O believer, for your redemption is to life eternal and unshakeable! The darts of the enemy may be of deadly flame, yet they shall never pierce His people! We rest under the banner of the King and sit in the shade of His mighty shield! Take heart in the strength of our Lord and give no fearful recognition to the weak boasting of the world's powers.

Thy faithfulness [is] unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. (Psalm 119:90)

God is the true measure of faithfulness. Never failing, His goodness endures forever. His salvation is eternal. His nature is unchanging. His glory is to everlasting. Depend upon the Lord Who is worthy!

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38)

Gifted with the very Spirit of God are we who have repented our sins and believed upon the risen Lord of the universe. Promised by Christ before He ascended to the heavenlies, the Holy Spirit will lead us in the paths of righteousness. Heed the Word of the Lord and proceed in every good work until the Son of heaven returns for His holy bride!

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

Though ever vigilant, the child of God need fear no false teacher or doctrine-he need fear no antichrist-for the power and grace and love and work of God have freed the believer from all fear. If God is for us, who then may stand against us? Truly, we have been crafted much more than conquerors in the strength of Christ Jesus! Believer, take hold of your identity! Give no sway to the doctrine of the flesh! Stand firm against the passions of men! Rejoice in your holy calling and irrevocable birthright!

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (Matthew 5:12)

Truly the child of faith should rejoice in His persecution for in it, he shall find union with Christ! O what beautiful, grim mystery that we, the church, should find our identity in the death of Christ-and by being found in His death we shall likewise be found in His resurrection! Rejoice! And live!
