Mid-East Prophecy Update – June 28th, 2015

Watch the beginning of this video to the very end.

In the beginning of the video, The Pastor speaks about what happened this past Friday,
and called it Black Friday. Afterwards he speaks on the legalization of the same sex marriages.

This just happened this past Friday, June 26th.

There were: 3 Islamic Attacks, on 3 different Continents,in 3 hours time.

Could this be a prophetic sign for us, heads up, our redemption draws nigh, Jesus is Coming at the Rapture?

Make your own conclusion, however, I believe, this is important and many could have missed it because they were focused on the Supreme Court Decision on Gay Marriage in 50 U.S. States.  The Pastor has also an excellent message in regards to the prophetic implications of the Supreme Court Legalizing same sex marriage.

Matthew 19:4
Jesus said:4 And He answered and said, "Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE, 5and said, 'FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH '?

History Channel presents: Seven signs Of The Apocalypse' The Seven Signs are clear: We will be struck by deadly plagues, famines and earthquakes; The sky will turn dark and oceans will turn to blood; And the antichrist will emerge to fight the final battle between good and evil. Could this all be true? - Our Most popular presentation with over 15,000 views.

Experts decode this powerful prophecy and come to a startling conclusion: there is now scientific evidence that many of these catastrophes could, in fact, be occurring. A star falling from the sky could be one of thousands of rogue asteroids that may be approaching earth. The plague foretold in the Bible could be a deadly strain of avian virus that researchers fear could kill millions. Oceans turning blood red could be triggered by microorganisms that release dangerous neurotoxins that have the same effect as nerve gas.

To reveal the ultimate truth behind the prophecy, this investigation will turn to the past to reveal why the prophecy was written, and why it maintains such a powerful hold on our imagination today.

God’s Gift of Salvation

God’s Gift of Salvation

Everything that God has given to us has been free. Think about it. He has given us life, a place to live, things to enjoy, etc. What have we given to God to receive all these things? Nothing! God created us and gave us all these gifts because He simply wanted someone with whom to share His love.
Sure, mankind has really messed things up. We overcharge each other for things. We demand that others do everything our own way. In fact, we have brought a great many evils into this world.
But God has nothing to do with this. He created each of us with a free will (so we could really share love with Him) and we have misused that free will. But we need to concentrate on what God did for us, not what mankind has tried to change.

As Rebellious as We Are, God Still Loves Us

Remember what the Bible says in Romans 5:8 (NIV): “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” You see, God did not wait for us to come to Him. He did not wait for us to tell Him that we loved Him. No! He took the first step and reached out to us.

How God Reached Out To Us

Exactly how God reached out to us is found in Ephesians 2:8 (NIV) where it says: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” Yes! The key to salvation is grace.
What does “grace” mean? It comes from a Greek word that means “to rejoice, be glad, be delighted.” Thus, grace has its foundation in joy. Whose joy? God’s joy. Even though we have rebelled against Him, God still has joy in His creation. He still delights in us and wants to share His love with us.
Thus, grace means “giving out of the joy of one’s own heart, and not because the one who received it, deserves it. God freely gave salvation to us because He loves us and not because we deserve it. And the greatest truth in this is that we can freely receive this salvation because God freely gives it to us. But many do not receive it because of their pride.

Our Greatest Problem is Pride

We are being destroyed because of our pride. We want recognition for everything we do, We want to be sure that others know what we did. We seem to think that we are better than anyone else. We want people to look up to us.
We even go so far as to think that we know what is best for us. We really don’t need God because we know as much (or even more) than He does. This has led many to even declare that God does not even exist.
But many who do acknowledge that God does exist still believe that they really don’t need Him because they know all they need to know about living. Thus, our pride keeps us from receiving the great gift that God offers us.

Are We Saved Through Our Works?

Many people do acknowledge that this is God’s world and thus we must live good lives in order to live with Him forever in His heaven. However, these people also believe that they already know what they must do to live good lives. Thus, they conclude that all they have to do is to do enough good works and they will have lived a good enough life to get into heaven.
In other words, our pride dictates that we must earn our way into heaven. In other words, we can live in heaven only if we live a good enough life and thus, earn our way into heaven.
It would be foolish if God said that must earn our way into heaven. Because if this were the case, we would be able to say “Look what I did for myself.” “I saved myself.” It would just add to our pride. It would just create more pride and dependence on ourself instead of on God.
If this were true, what would heaven be like? What if heaven were full of all the proud people that our now making our lives miserable? It certainly would not heaven. In fact, it would be no different than the life we are living now.
No. God wants something much better for his children. He wants the best existence possible for us. Remember, He created us. He knows what is best for His creation. He knows what we need in order to receive the best that He has to offer.

God’s Solution

Remember, God created us so that we could share our love with Him and have fellowship with Him. He created us as free creatures. He cannot and will not force us to do anything or to be anything that we do not want to do or be. This would destroy our free will and without free will, we would not be able to share love.
So God has decreed that only those who want to live according to His will can live eternally with Him in His heaven. Yet, living in this sin-filled world, it is extremely difficult to show God that we want to live according to His will.
Thus, in His great love, God made it extremely easy for us to show Him that we want to live according to His will. This truth is revealed in John 3:16 (NKJV) where it says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
This is all we have to do. Accept the salvation that He offers to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is God’s gift to us. We don’t have to do anything except accept His great gift of salvation. But to receive it, we must reach out and accept it.

Gifts Must Be Received

Think about it. If I offer to give you a present, yet you do not reach out and receive it, that is, take it yourself, you will never benefit from the gift I have for you. That is the way it is with God’s gift of salvation. He offers it. But, we have to take a definite step to receive it. We have to do something or it will never become ours.
God offers the gift of salvation to us and He has made it very simple to receive this great gift. We don’t have to do any great works, go through any special type of ritual, or anything like that. We don’t have to change anything in our life. We don’t even have to become a better person first. All we have to do is to be sorry for our rebellion and sin against God and want to start living for and with God.
It is actually accomplished in two very simple steps. The first is to simply accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. It is that simple. We just accept what Jesus did for us on the cross and accept His death as our own death to sin and rebellion.
Secondly, we accept Jesus as the Lord of our Life. This means committing our life to live as Jesus wants us to live. It doesn’t mean that we will live perfect lives. It just means that we are going to do our best to live the life that Jesus wants us to live.
If you have not yet taken this very important and essential step, go to How To Live Forever and learn what you need to do.

Heaven And Hell

Heaven And Hell

Many people do not believe in such a place as Hell. They believe that if God is a loving God, that He would never create such a place, nor would He send anyone there. However, the Bible teaches differently. Listen to the warning that Jesus, Himself, gives us. Matthew 10:28 (NKJV): “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
And what did Jesus say about those who will not do God’s will? Matthew 25:41 (NKJV): “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.’” This verse also tells us that Hell was not created for human beings, but for the devil (Satan) and his angels.
As we will see, God does not want His human creation to go to Hell. However, remember, God created us as free creatures, with the ability to choose our own destiny. And our own destiny includes where we will spend eternity. If we choose to follow God and desire in our heart to do God’s will, our destiny will be paradise (heaven). This is why Jesus came, so we could easily make this decision.
However, if we choose to not follow God and desire to live within His will, when we die, our desire will not miraculously change. Thus, the only place to live outside of God’s will and God’s presence is Hell.

Who Is In Charge of Hell?

If Hell is a place where God is not, who will be the reigning authority in Hell. We must remember two things, First Hell was created for Lucifer (Satan) and all the fallen angels who followed him in his rebellion. Secondly, since Satan was the recognized authority of all of these fallen angels (otherwise why did they follow him in his rebellion?) who do you think will be the authority in Hell? Who will be the ruler in Hell? God is not there. The logical one left is Satan, himself.
Satan was originally called Lucifer and was a very powerful angel in God’s presence. In his position of authority over other angels, he began to think that he could actually be a better ruler than God Himself. Some think that this happened after God created the physical earth, while others think that he rebelled before the earth was created. It really doesn’t make any difference when he rebelled. The point is that he rebelled against God and was cast out of God’s presence.
Lucifer’s pride made him think that he could actually be a better ruler than God (Jehovah). So he rebelled against God and tried to take over all that God had created. The amazing thing is that he had such authority over other angels that a third of them followed him in his rebellion.
God could not allow this to happen. If Lucifer was allowed to continue his existence in heaven (paradise), he would ruin paradise for everyone else. So God created Hell to house Lucifer and all the rebellions angels who followed him.

Is Satan And His Demons In Hell Now?

According to what is written in the Bible, they are not yet totally confined in Hell. Satan did appear before God in the book of Job. Also, Satan and his demons are free to roam the earth.
Also, in 1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) it says: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” Experience also tells us that Satan and his demons are now roaming the earth.
Satan and his demons will eventually be totally confined to their final abode and that is Hell. The book of Revelation explains this to us.

What Is Hell Like?

Remember, God did not create Hell for the purpose of sending human beings there. God created Hell, a place where He is not present, for the purpose of housing the rebellious angels that did not want to live under His authority any more.
So what do you think Hell is like? First of all, we know that it is a place where God is not. Remember God created everything that is good, all light, all beauty, all love, harmony, etc. This all flows from God. What kind of a place will Hell be if God is not there to radiate all these things? Think about it.
Hell is also full of creatures that are angry with God for sending them there. They would like to get revenge on God. How can they do this? They are no longer allowed in God’s presence. They are now restricted to a place where God has removed any of His influence.
So remember, Hell is that place that now inhabited with creatures that have been thrown out of heaven. They have nothing that God created to make their habitation a pleasant one. It is a miserable place to exist. Since we know how creatures that have been rejected react, how do you think that Satan and his fallen demons are going to react? They want revenge against God. But this is impossible since they no longer have access to heaven.

What Will Satan and His Demons Be Doing?

The answer, again, is very simple. They will be miserable. But more than this, Lucifer (Satan) and his fallen angels know that God created the human race. He created the human race so He could have someone to share His great love. Yes, God loves us, as humans.  Yet, multitudes of these humans also reject God and His plan for them.
Since they (humans) have rejected God and his plan for them, there is only one place left for their existence after they leave the earth. They have demonstrated that they do not want to live with God. So, where can they go? The only place left is where God is not, Hell!
While we are here on the earth, we can have power over Satan and his demons through Jesus. All we must do is to call on Jesus and He will defeat any demonic attack against us. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, the demons see, not a human, but God, himself, because God is living in us. In Hell, you no longer have that option. Remember God is not in Hell. Thus, Satan has complete freedom to do whatever he wants to these lost souls that have rejected God’s plan for their lives.
How can Satan get his revenge against God? He gets it by torturing those who God created to be with Him, but rejected His plan for them. What kind of existence will this be? Think about it. If you reject God and His plan for you while you are on this earth, you will end up in the hands of a creature that hates you because God loves you. Is that what you want?

God Does Not Want You In Hell

Remember, God did not send you to Hell. He does not want you there. You chose to go there by rejecting God and His plan for you while you were here on this physical earth. The truth is that God is heartbroken every time a human being dies a physical death while he continues to reject Him and His plan for them.
No, God does not send anyone to Hell. If you end up there, it is because you have chosen to live apart from God and His plan for you while you are living here on this earth. God has done everything He possibly can do to get you to freely choose Him and His plan for you. Remember, God created you in His image, as a creature that is free to choose your own destiny.
God put you on this earth, where His presence can be seen everywhere you look. He has created a universe that could not possibly have burst into existence on its own. It is Satan that has put this crazy idea in people’s heads that it could have. God created this universe so that if you are truly honest with yourself, you can never believe it just popped into existence on its own.
Stop and think. How could such harmony come out of chaos? How could such amazing beauty come out of nothing? How could such a wonderful creation come out of anything except love? Look around you. Where there is love, there is creation and harmony. Where there is no love there is destruction and disharmony.
Just look at the nations on this earth. Where there is love and harmony, new and wonderful things are always being created. Where there is hate and distrust, there is nothing but destruction and poverty. Where do you really want to live? Do you want to live where there is hate and distrust, or where there is love and harmony?

What Is Heaven Like?

If that is Hell, what heaven is like? Has God not given us very many hints as to what to expect? Yes, the Bible does talk about streets of gold. It also mentions a place where there is no sorrow, no heartache, no sickness, etc. It also mentions that there will be no need of a sun because all the light we need comes directly from God, Himself.
So, what is heaven like? All we can truly know that it is a place that God has prepared for those who love Him, for those that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. And since God is a loving God and wants to share that love with us, it must be the most wonderful place of love and peace that we can possibly imagine.
The important point to remember is that Heaven is a place of eternal love and caring for each other. It is a place where you will not care about yourself. Why? Because while you are caring for and loving others, others are also caring for and loving you. It is an existence that is more wonderful than you can possible imagine. It is just the opposite of what Hell is.

You Choose Your Own Destiny

God created you and placed you on this physical earth so that you could freely make a choice of where you want to spend eternity.
Yes, Satan freely roams this earth. Why? It is because we, as humans, have given him this freedom. God created this universe and the place we call earth. Then He placed His prize creation on it (the human race). However, we freely rebelled against God and instead chose to do what we wanted to do instead of following God’s will for us. This is the truth behind the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. We turned Satan loose on this earth by wanting to do our own thing instead of allowing God to direct our every path.
So, Satan is alive and well on this earth and we have to put up with him. Or do we? Through Jesus, we have all the authority over Satan that we need. The problem is that many of us have just have not learned to exercise that authority. If we want to defeat Satan and his influence in our lives, all we must do is to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and allow Him to direct our path.

How To Live Forever

How To Live Forever

Yes, I am talking about living for eternity, to live forever. Do you know that you can live for eternity? That you never have to die? That you never have to face the pain of death? I can hear you saying? “This is impossible, no man can live forever. We all have to die.”

The Bible Proves It

But I can prove to you by the Word of God Himself, that it is possible. Listen to what Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Also in I John 5:11, “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”
Listen also to what Jesus Himself said in John 5:24, “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”

Eternal Life Can Be Yours

I can hear you asking now, “If eternal life is possible, how may I obtain it?” The Bible tells us very simply what we must do to gain eternal life. The first thing that we must do is to admit that we are sinners. I John 1:8 says: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
Romans 3:23 says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Isaiah 59:1 says: “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.”
But now you ask, “OK so I confess my sins, what good is that going to do?” I John 1:9 says: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
The second thing we must do is to believe in Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9 says: “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Again, Acts 16:31 says: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” Finally, believe that Jesus can and will save you from your sins. I Peter 3:18 says: “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.”

Eternal Life Is A Gift From God

And the best part of this is that God is offering this to us as a gift. To gain eternal life, all we have to do is to accept it. Listen to Eph. 2:8, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” In John 14:14 we find the promise that God, through Jesus Christ will give us eternal life. “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”

All We Must Do Is Receive

Finally, we must receive Jesus as our Personal Savior. We read in John 1:12, “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” And also in Jude 1:24 where it is talking about Jesus, “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.”

Don’t Put It Off

Now, I can hear you  saying: “This all sounds very good. I believe all that you have said. I will accept Jesus Christ as my Personal Savior, but not now, I still have plenty of time.” But listen to what Isaiah 55:6 says, “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.”
Also in II Cor. 6:2, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” Listen also to Luke 12:40, “You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

Are You Ready?

Are you ready to accept Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior right now? I beg you not to put it off any longer. This may be your last chance. You may never get another. Remember, all you have to do are these simple things:
1) Confess that you are a sinner.
2) Believe that Jesus Christ save you from your sins.
3) Ask Jesus to forgive your sins and believe in you heart that He has forgiven them.
4) Receive Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior.
Just say these things in your own words. There is no special way to talk to God.

What To Do Now

After you have accepted Jesus as your Personal Savior, go to a minister of the church of your own choice and show him the decision that you made. The minister will help you to grow in the new life that you have found.
In addition, keep reading this blog. I also have another site called BibleAnswersToday.com where you can find a lot more information about living a Christian life in this modern world.

Jesus – First and Second Coming

Jesus – First and Second Coming

Yes, Jesus is coming twice. His first coming was about 2000 years ago and His second coming is still in our future. His first coming was such an event that even our calendar is based upon it. His second coming will usher in a new event that will change history.

His First Coming Was a Real Event

Almost everyone, even those who do not believe in who Jesus was and is, still believe that He was born on the earth. Even Muslims accept the fact that Jesus was a real person that lived on the earth. This is even true of the Jews, even though they don’t accept Him as their Messiah.
The first coming of Jesus was a very humbling experience for Him. He purposely humbled Himself and made Himself a human servant so that He could taste death for all human beings.

Jesus Left His Divinity In Heaven

Hebrews 2:7 (NIV) says: “You made him a little lower than the angels.” Then verse 9 restates the same fact. Jesus brought Himself down to our level so that He could raise us up to His own level.
Hebrews 2:14 (NIV) says: “Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death–that is, the devil.” Jesus allowed Himself to become fully human so that He could do what we could not do, that is, defeat Satan and his power that he had gained over us.
Jesus then gives us the opportunity to simply accept what He did for us and then accept Him as our Lord and Savior. When we do this, He gives us eternal life, as John 3:16 says. Jesus permitted Himself to be persecuted, rejected, abused, and finally crucified, so He could become “the sin bearer” of God and thus save the world.
Yes, at His first coming, Jesus humbled Himself and became a human, with a body exactly like ours.
By the way, when Jesus arose from the dead, He had a new body. This was not an earthly body, made from the dust of the earth, but rather a heavenly body created in heaven. And guess what? We who have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior will have that same kind of body when we die (or are raptured). 1 Cor. 15:49 (NIV) says: “And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven.”

Jesus’ Second Coming Will Also Be a Real Event

Yes, just a surely as He came the first time, Jesus will come again. But his time He will come in “power and glory.” Luke 21:27 (NIV): “At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”
When Jesus ascended into heaven, an angel appeared to those who were watching and said “Acts 1:11 (NIV): “’Men of Galilee,’ they said, ‘why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.’”
This second time He comes as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Rev. 17:14 (NIV): “They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings.”
Most people did not recognize Jesus at His first coming. But everyone will be aware of His second coming. Rev. 1:7 (NIV): “Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him.” And again in Jude 1:14 (NIV): “Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones.”

Jesus Comes With The Full Power Of His Godhead

God, the Father, has given Jesus the full power of the Godhead. John 5:26-27 (NIV): “For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.”
Jesus has the authority over all creation. 1 Peter 3:22 (NIV) says of Jesus: “who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand–with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.”
His first task will be to reap the harvest, that is, to rapture all born-again Christians from the earth. This is the Rapture.
Rev. 14:14-16 (NIV): “I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one ‘like a son of man’ (Jesus) with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in His hand. Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to Him who was sitting on the cloud, ‘Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.’ So He who was seated on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.”
His second task will be to destroy the evil in the world. Read Rev. 19:11-21. Thus, the dragon (Satan), the false prophet and all whose who followed them will be destroyed.
His third task will be to set up His kingdom on the earth. Rev. 11:15 (NIV): “The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.’”

Are You Looking Forward To This?

I don’t know when Jesus will come again, either for His Church or to set up His Kingdom here on the earth. But all the signs point to the fact that it is going to be really soon. Be prepared by going to “How To Live Forever” and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Jesus is the Son of God

Jesus is the Son of God

Many people accept Jesus as a good teacher that lived about 2000 years ago, but they will not accept Him as the Son of God. And yet, that is exactly who the Bible proclaims that Jesus is. If you cannot accept that Jesus was and is the only begotten Son of God, then you have to dismiss Him as even a truthful teacher and He certainly cannot be the Messiah.

The Old Testament Prophecies Proclaims Him To Be God

Isaiah 9:6 (NIV): “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Among other facts, this passage tells us several important facts about Jesus.
1 – “A son is given.” This means that Jesus was not created at His earthly birth, but He existed before He was born on the earth.
2 – He is called “Mighty God.” This is self explanatory. Jesus is God.
3 – He is called “Everlasting Father.” This means that Jesus always has and always will exist.

Jesus Says That the Old Testament Testifies About Him

Remember in John 5:39-40 (NIV) when Jesus was talking to the Jews, He said: “You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.” Here Jesus is saying that the Old Testament contains passages that bring eternal life because they are passages that testify to who Jesus is.
In other words, throughout the Old Testament, prophecies are given that show that eternal life comes through Jesus. Since eternal life can only come through God, these passages are proclaiming that Jesus is God.

Jesus In The New Testament

Throughout the New Testament, Jesus is proclaimed to be God. This is true both in His own teachings as well as in the teachings of the rest of the New Testament. The most famous is John 3:16.
John 3:16 (NKJV): “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Nothing could be clearer than this. God gave us His only begotten Son. This means that God came to earth in the form of Jesus. Yes, Jesus is God.
Look at the first verse of the Gospel of John. John 1:1 (NIV): “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” All scholars accept the fact that the term “the Word” refers to Jesus. Even the Muslims state this in their Koran. Nothing can be clearer than this statement that Jesus is God.
In Titus, Jesus is called “our great God and Savior.” Titus 2:11-13 (NIV): “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope–the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
Throughout the New Testament, the Scriptures proclaim that Jesus is none other than God, Himself.

Jesus Claimed To Be God

Over and over, Jesus taught that He was God. For instance in John 10:30 (NIV): “I and the Father are one.”
He also distinguished between his Father as God and our Father as God. John 20:17 (NIV): “Jesus said, ‘Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
We may not think that Jesus is calling Himself God in these passages (and others), but the Jews that heard Him certainly did. Look at John 5:18 (NIV): “For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.”
And again in John 19:7 (NIV): “The Jews insisted, ‘We have a law, and according to that law he must die, because he claimed to be the Son of God.’”
If His contemporaries understood that Jesus was calling Himself God, we need to listen to them and accept what Jesus said about Himself.

Jesus Is One Member Of The Trinity

God reveals Himself to us in a very special way. God is so great that we cannot understand who He is outside of the Trinity. The Trinity is not three Gods, but rather one God who reveals Himself in three parts. Jesus is one of those parts.
This is why Jesus tells us to baptize in the name of the Trinity. Matthew 28:19 (NIV): “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
John 15:26 also illustrates the concept of the Trinity. Jesus said in John 15:26 (NIV): “When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me.” God, the Father sends the Holy Spirit who will testify about Jesus.
We need to understand that the Trinity does not mean that there are three Gods. There is only one God. This is what is proclaimed throughout the Bible, both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. Remember this very important truth. The Bible does not and will not contradict itself. If one part does not make sense to you, read the rest of the Bible and it will become clear to you.

Jesus Is God

Either He was and is the Son of God, or He was the greatest liar that ever lived. If Jesus is not God, the Bible cannot be trusted to give us the truth about God at all. Either Jesus is God, or we need to discard the whole Bible, because throughout the Bible, Jesus is either prophesied as being God or proclaimed to be God.

Can We Hear God’s Voice?

This is a question that many people ask? The Bible tells us that God can and does speak to us as humans. But multitudes of people say: “God doesn’t speak to me. I cannot hear His voice.” If you never hear God’s voice, there definitely is something wrong. God does communicate with us. If you do not hear Him, you need to first understand how God speaks to us.

Does God Speak To Us?

Throughout the Bible, we read where God has spoken to certain people. Some of these people are: Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, David, the Old Testaments Prophets, etc. The Bible is God’s Word to us and God does not lie to us. Thus, these people (and many more) definitely heard from God.
The question for many then becomes: “Why do I not hear from God?” “Is there something wrong with me?” No, there is nothing wrong with you. You probably just do not understand how God communicates with us. You simply have not yet learned to tune in to God.

Communication In Heaven

It is very interesting that many who have gone to heaven and come back testify that, in heaven, communication is actually done through just hearing in their mind what others are communicating to them.

This tells us something very important about the spiritual world. Remember what Jesus told is in John 4:24 (NKJV): “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

In the physical world, we communicate through physical means. That is, through the spoken voice. Yes, some who have gone to heaven and returned tell us that they were able to communicate with others through an audible voice.

However, others tell us that communicating in the spirit world is done differently. It seems that we are able to project our thoughts directly into the mind of another. Since this is true, it tells us that most communication within the spirit world (God’s world) is done through our thoughts.

What is this telling us? It is saying that God usually communicates to us through our thoughts. In other words, God impresses thoughts in our minds. Isn’t this a dangerous thing? If God (who is a spirit) communicates to us in this way, isn’t Satan (who also is a spirit), capable of communicating with us in the same way? That is, impressing thoughts into our mind?

Who Are We Hearing From?

Here lies the problem. How do we know who we are hearing from? Is the thought that entered our mind from God or from Satan? Remember, we also generate our own thoughts which stem from our personal experiences. So, how do we know if we are hearing from God or not?

The answer is that we have to learn what is Godly communication, what is satanic communication and what is simply our own thoughts brought about through our own personal experiences?

God Speaks Through Other People

Here is another problem. The Bible does tell us that God often communicates to us through other people. In fact, God has specially ordained people for this specific purpose. Look at Ephes. 4:11-12 (NKJV): “And He Himself [Jesus] gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

Also, sometimes Angels appear to humans in the bodily form of a human being. In fact, Hebrews 13:2 (NKJV) says: “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.” Remember, Angels are God’s special messengers. We need to listen to them and heed what they say.

But again, how do we know that what we are being told is a message from God or a demon trying to get us to turn away from God? God knew that this would be a problem so He did not leave us empty handed. This is one of the most important reasons that God has given us His Holy Word, our Holy Bible.

God Communicates Through The Holy Bible

This is the most important way that God communicates with us. Why? Because the Bible is a physically written Word. It is through words (both spoken and written) that we have learned to communicate. All we must do is to understand that the Bible is God’s written Word to us and accept is as such. When we do this, we know what God is trying to tell us. It has been written down for us.

Look at what God said in 2 Tim. 3:16 (NKJV): “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” And again in Romans 15:4 (NKJV): “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.”

Finally, look at 2 Peter 1:21 (NKJV): “for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”

Do you still doubt that the Bible is God’s Word, coming directly from Him? Josh McDowell thought the same thing. So, he set out to study the Bible for the purpose of proving that it was a false book and that it did not come from God because he didn’t believe that God even existed. He discovered just the opposite. In fact, he ended up writing two books: “Evidence That Demands a Verdict,” and “More Evidence That Demands a Verdict.” If you still have doubts, read these two books.

Can We Learn To Hear God Speak To Us Directly?

The answer is Yes! But it is a learning process. Some people do learn more quickly than others. The important point is that we have to learn to listen. The world we live in is very loud and the worldly noises often drown out God’s voice because God speaks in a still small voice.

We need to learn what Elijah learned. He had become very depressed and wanted to die. 1 Kings 19:11-12 (NKJV): “Then He [an Angel] said, ‘Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.’ And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.”

Even Elijah, one of God’s greatest prophets, had to learn to go out by himself and take time to listen for God’s still small voice. God does not speak in a loud booming voice. He will never force Himself on us. That is why we have to learn to listen.
We have to learn to allow God to place His impressions in our minds. If our minds are full of the clatter and noise of the world, we will never hear God’s still small voice in our minds.

How Can We Know That It Is God Speaking?

We know that demons also speak through putting impressions in our minds. How can we know if it is God and not a demon speaking to us? Remember two very important points. First, God will never tell us anything that is contrary to what is written in the Bible. Thus, it becomes very important to know what the Bible says.

Secondly, demons will lead us away from God’s will instead of into God’s will. Most often it will be a very devious temptation. At first, it will seem to be that the demon is leading us into something good. How can we tell that this is what the demons are doing? The answer is very simple.

Know what the Bible teaches. If we know what the Bible says about where the demon is leading us, we will be able to catch the deception before we are led astray.

We Eventually Learn To Recognize God’s Voice

How? By spending time studying God Holy Word, our Bible. And secondly, by spending enough time directly in prayer with God, we will learn to recognize God’s voice. It will be like learning to recognize a loved ones voice. When we have been with another person long enough, we will immediately recognize his/her voice as soon as we hear it.
Can you hear God’s voice? You certainly can, if you take the time to learn to recognize His voice. It will not come automatically. Nor will it come without some effort on your part. Remember, you were created as a free creature, free to do what you want to do. You will only learn to recognize God’s voice if you decide in your heart that you want to hear it and are willing to take the time and effort to pursue recognizing His voice.
