Ukrainian post graduate student Yulia stands at the site where the first protesters were killed to explain why thousands have taken to the streets on Kiev to demonstrate against the government.
"We want to be free from a dictatorship, we want to be free from the politicians, who work only for themselves.
"Who are ready to shoot, to beat, to injure people, just to save their money, just to save their houses, just to save their power," she says.
Yulia, who's mother is a doctor helping at Independence square, was moved to make the video after the first protesters were killed, so far at least 77 people have died in the violence.
As Yulia ends her message she urges on people to share the video around the world.
"You can help us only by telling this story ... please share it, speak to your friends, speak to you family, speak to your government and show that you support us."
So far the video which was posted on YouTube has received over five million views, in the description it links to the protesters facebook page.https://www.facebook.com/maidaners1
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich has now announced plans to hold early presidential elections, form a national unity government and make constitutional changes reducing his powers in the hope of appeasing protesters.
However it was not clear whether President Yanukovich was spelling out the terms of an agreement that had already been reached with the opposition.
